City-Centre Flat | Prime Location, WiFi - sleeps 2

Bad experience Negative: I was disappointed with my stay at the flat, as it was extremely dirty upon arrival. I communicated my concerns to the property management company, but unfortunately, no significant action was taken. They did send someone to clean, but the flat requires a deep cleaning. I hope this issue is addressed for future guests.

Positive: Very nice

Great, comfortable stay. Would return! Positive: Lovely, comfortable apartment a short walk away from Reading town centre. Lovely linens and duvets, plenty of crockery, tea, coffee, washing up liquid etc there for your use. There was a standing fan which was appreciated in the recent weather. There’s also a very slim terrace, which is a nice addition albeit you can’t really sit out there, it’s nice go have a door open. It’s also incredibly quiet, didn’t hear the neighbours or anybody else, aside from the odd car or bus passing. Negative: There were a few small maintenance issues that didn’t bother us but stopped it getting a perfect 10! Iron burn on the carpet, some peeling paint here and there but it was a really lovely place to stay and this didn’t impact our experience at all. There was only a couple of forks so we bought a few more and left them for the next guests. Parking would have been handy and I did see some underground but it wasn’t included so we used the nearest NCP which was £8.10 for 24hrs at the weekend and is a short walk away.

Positive: Location is good and close to shops, transport etc. The furnishing were good as was the kitchen, It was quiet and ideal place to rent. Kitchen was clean and fuly stocked with dishes. Negative: The apartment was not quite ready to let. The bath couldn't be used because of a broken tap and the balcony was dirty with old grass carpet dumped down. Washing line needed to be fixed properly. We needed the instruction manuals for the appliances as they were foreign to us. Management needs to be improved as we were kept waiting outside for two hours unable to get the key. This was at 6 O'clock at night, we were tired etc and the manager needed to get a rental agreement etc from us but we struggled to down load and return. Also we had to pay a bond before he would let us know which apartment it was. We had to double park on a yellow line. It was really unsatisfactory as we only had a cell phone and we were from overseas. If they could have been a bit more sympathetic and caring it would have made a huge difference to our stay. The place has potential.
